Industrial Ceiling, Wall and Column Coating Inside Operating Plants

Clean Metro, Inc. is an industrial surface prep and coating contractor based in West Columbia, SC, serving SC, NC, GA and TN. At a Briggs & Stratton aluminum foundry, we cleaned and coated about 20,000 sq ft in production, without incident.

We clean, prep, and coat ceilings, walls, columns, and structures inside working plants, coordinated with production so the plant keeps running.

Tech in a blast hood strips the collector from a boom lift while the blast pot and hoses run below.

What we clean

  • Low-moisture degreasing (a small amount of water injected into high-volume air)
  • Dry ice and laser prep
  • Abrasive blasting and recoating of dust collectors and structures
  • Industrial coatings on ceilings, walls, and columns
  • Floor coatings and safety striping
  • Column painting and column I.D. renumbering, painted or vinyl

How we do it

We test patches first, protect equipment and floors, prep to the coating manufacturer's requirements, and sequence areas with facilities and production staff.

Questions we get

Can you coat while we are in production?

Yes. At an aluminum foundry we cleaned and coated about 20,000 sq ft while it stayed in production, coordinated area by area.

What is low-moisture degreasing?

A small amount of water injected into high-volume air. It cleans ceilings and structure for coating without flooding the floor below.

Do you do test patches?

Yes. We put test patches up first so you see adhesion and finish before the full scope.

Got a mess on the schedule?

Send us the scope, photos, or a walkthrough date. We'll tell you straight whether it's our kind of work.
